✨ THE STORY
Ortaköy is one of those places where Istanbul never feels still—water moving, people passing, history standing right at the edge of the sea. That day the Bosphorus was restless, waves slamming into the pier, and I knew I didn’t want the usual safe angle from above. I wanted the scene from the shoreline, exactly the way it feels when you’re right there.
So I lay down on the pier and waited. A pigeon stepped into the foreground like it belonged there, and suddenly the entire frame locked into place: the chain posts leading the eye, Ortaköy Mosque rising with its iconic elegance, and the Bosphorus Bridge stretching across the water behind it.
